Our Work
Saving Wildlife, One Life at a Time
At Bayberry Wildlife Rescue, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned wildlife while educating the community about the importance of wildlife conservation. From providing emergency medical care to ensuring successful releases back into the wild, every step we take is driven by compassion and expertise.

Emergency Wildlife Rescue
When wildlife is injured, orphaned, or in distress, immediate action can mean the difference between life and death. At Bayberry Wildlife Rescue, we respond to emergency calls, providing on-site assessments, safe transport, and urgent medical care to animals in need. Our trained rescuers work tirelessly to stabilize injured wildlife, ensuring they receive the proper treatment and care required for survival.

Rehabilitation & Care
Healing is a journey, and every rescued animal requires specialized care to regain strength before returning to the wild. Our licensed rehabilitators and veterinary team provide tailored treatment, including wound care, nutrition, physical therapy, and behavioral rehabilitation. Whether it’s a bird recovering from a broken wing or an orphaned fawn learning survival skills, we ensure each animal gets the best possible chance for a successful release.

Education & Awareness
Conservation starts with knowledge. Through community outreach programs, school visits, and educational workshops, we teach people how to peacefully coexist with wildlife and protect natural habitats. Our goal is to raise awareness, prevent human-wildlife conflicts, and inspire the next generation of conservationists. By understanding and respecting wildlife, we can build a future where nature and humans thrive together.

Habitat Conservation
A safe habitat is essential for wildlife survival. We work to protect and restore natural ecosystems, advocating for responsible land use, pollution reduction, and preservation of critical wildlife areas. Through tree planting initiatives, clean-up efforts, and collaboration with local conservation groups, we strive to create and maintain safe environments where wildlife can flourish for generations to come.
“Together, We Give Wildlife a Second Chance”
At Bayberry Wildlife Rescue, every rescue, every rehabilitation, and every release is a step toward a healthier and more balanced world. Through dedication, compassion, and community support, we are making a real difference—one animal at a time. Whether you choose to volunteer, donate, or simply spread awareness, you are a vital part of our mission. Together, we can protect Connecticut’s wildlife and create a future where humans and nature coexist in harmony.
